So, I don’t know about you but I spend a good bit of time trolling the internet for good ideas, funny things and things that take my breath away. I want to share some of those with you from time to time.
First up, a newish blog by Karen Templer called Fringe Association. She is a relatively new knitter but has plunged into the knitting world wholeheartedly and has great style and taste. Definitely worth a look.
Next up in the blog world is Advanced Style. Photographed and curated by Ari Seth Cohen this blog features sytlish older people. Not always my taste but always interesting.
Anybody who likes to play with color will enjoy Design Seeds. Jessica (can’t find her last name on her site) uses photos as the basis for color palettes. You can then use them as inspiration for sweater colors or the colors for your living room redo. Or just put your favorites on Pinterest or Facebook.
If you are looking for a children’s book that you read in your childhood but you can’t quite remember the name (what, that doesn’t happen to you on a regular basis?) try Aunt Book. She found a book for me in short order and I had very little information about it. Great for those of us who devoured books in our youth and now want to find them again.
Finally, did you watch The Bletchley Circle on PBS? I missed it but found it on Amazon and streamed it. Four women who worked at Bletchley Park in the UK during WWII find themselves trying to decode a series of murders. Very enjoyable–and the knitting! My dears, the characters wear the most beautiful sweaters! I believe that another season is in the works.
So,there is a little look at where I go when I am not here. Tell me some of your favorite rabbit holes.
Thanks for the links! Always nice to have some new places to read/procrastinate.
I had read about the PBS series then promptly forgot what it was called and how to find it. Thanks for the link, will stream tonight. Can’t wait!
